Day 1 of 1 Day Jinja | Sezibwa falls | Mabira Forest Hike
The tour begins after an early breakfast ideally 6.30 am in the morning from Kampala or Entebbe to maintain a strategic distance from the congested driving conditions. You will drive through tea estates, sugar plantations and beautiful roadside foods grown from the ground markets. On two stops you will see a few Ugandans selling roasted meat as a quick snack for travelers.
Sezibwa falls visit
Our first stopover will be at Sezibwa falls – a Buganda social site rich with birds, folktales and extraordinary landscape. This is an extraordinary Uganda birding spot for the bird lovers, a social site with society stories and conventional healers and in conclusion, the waterfalls that similarly have a story about how they got the chance to be named. On landing, we will be met by an inhabitant visit guide who will lead us clarifying the various destinations and legends surrounding the falls and the waterway.
The name Sezibwa is gotten from a Luganda expression “Sizibwa Kkubo” which converts into “my way can never be blocked” and these local people say is on the grounds that its stream couldn’t be ceased even with various deterrents it experienced along its way like Rocks and so on. The rivers flow stream down a lot of rocks making lovely waterfalls, particularly during the stormy seasons. In the dry season, the water is less thus the waterfalls are not as imminent but rather by and by being there. This stopover will give you a look into the customary convictions of the Buganda kingdom and extraordinary pictures from the view and scene.
Climbing Mabira forest
Our next stop will be the Mabira forest the biggest rain forest closest to Kampala city. We will drive to the Ecotourism focus to take on one of the many forest trails where we clear out through the forest; we will meet our local site guide who will lead us on this journey. On the trail, you will find out about the distinctive restorative trees in the forest and how individuals lived and made due to the forest. You will experience different bird species, beautiful butterflies, red-tailed monkeys jumping starting with one tree then onto the next and ideally locate the Uganda Mangabeys at best.
Boat ride on Source of River Nile – Jinja
On entry to Jinja, we will eat after which we will enjoy a boat ride on River Nile as it begins leaving Lake Victoria. This is will be the last site on this adventurous Jinja tour with a boat ride to the “Source of the Nile” at the now submerged Rippon Falls. This is the place the Nile begins its 4000-mile journey to the Mediterranean Sea crossing different nations en route. The boat rides take between thirty minutes and two hours relying upon the accessible time. Your guide tells you stories of the ‘source of the Nile’ as believed by the locals.
Jinja is otherwise called ‘the experience capital of East Africa‘ in view of the many experience exercises did on the Nile and along the Nile which incorporate water boating, kayaking, fly drifting, bungee bouncing, quad biking and steed riding along the Nile.
