During the 3 days tour Lake Mburo National Park, the parks’ unstable past has seen natural life for all intents and purposes wiped out a few times: initially in different endeavours to free the district of tsetse flies, at that point to clear a path for farms, lastly because of subsistence poaching.

20% of the recreation centre’s extra charge is utilized to finance neighbourhood network tasks, for example, building facilities and schools.

Lake Mburo National Park is a reduced jewel, found helpfully near the thruway that interfaces Kampala to the parks of western Uganda. It is the littlest of Uganda’s savannah national parks and underlain by old Precambrian transformative rocks which go back in excess of 500 million years. It is home to 350 winged animal species and additionally zebra, impala, eland, bison, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, panther, hippo, hyena, topi and reedbuck.

Together with 13 different lakes in the region, Lake Mburo frames some portion of a 50km-long wetland framework connected by a bog. Five of these lakes exist in the recreation centre’s fringes. When secured by open savanna, Lake Mburo National Park currently contains much forest as there are no elephants to tame the vegetation. In the western piece of the recreation centre, the savanna is sprinkled with rough edges and forested chasms while patches of papyrus marsh and tight groups of rich riparian forest line numerous lakes.

Activities

Day 1: from Kampala Capital City – lake Mburo National Park

Our driver guide will Pick you up from your hotel or from the Airport in the Early morning, leave Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park which is the 80km drive from Kampala via the Equator, take some photos and take time to have a look at the traditional drums and crafts before proceeding to Masaka for lunch.

After lunch, drive to Lake Mburo National Park; check in to your accommodation. Later an evening game drive 4:30 pm to search for animals such as the Eland, Topis, Impalas, zebras and many more with a chance to see some colourful beautiful birds in the evening fly to their resting places. Return to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Activities in Lake Mburo National Park
Your breakfast will be served at 07:00 am before you leave for a nature walks to the different areas of interest like the Nakivale wetland which is associated with fresh water and plains of seasonal floods which are permanent, this is an opportunity to see some animals as they graze and go back to their hiding places, this include Hippopotamus, Buffalos, and many more that are around the swamp drinking water.

You will return back to the camp for traditionally prepared delicious lunch then take a boat ride on the lake where different species of plants, animals in water bucks crocodiles, birds and many more are seen clearly when on boat trips. On this day, you can choose to have a night game drive in search of nocturnal wildlife animals. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Lake Mburo – Kampala
You can decide to do cycling or quad biking, horseback riding, sport fishing in the park. After doing the activity of your choice and getting close to wildlife, you will return to your lodge for lunch and it comes to the end of your safari, after lunch, shall check out of your room. Return to Kampala if you stay here or Entebbe to catch your flight.
