As you stand on the Nile, you will hear the gurgling water, watch native fishermen throw their nets in the longest river in Africa- You will take a Boat Ride to the actual source of the Nile and beyond the lake where you will take great pictures for future memories and this begins the 4 Days Jinja Adventure Tour.

We begin your journey to Eastern Uganda. En route stop over at the Sezibwa falls- a unique Buganda cultural site located along the Jinja Kampala highway. After exploring the falls proceed with the trip passing through Mabira forest where you will stop over for a forest walk, expect to encounter different species of butterfly and primates including the red-tailed monkey, grey-cheeked managabey, vervet monkeys among others.

After get back into the vehicle and go for lunch at the Sunset Hotel -a lovely restaurant perched on a hill over the Nile serving very good with chicken breast stuffed with spinach a great delicacy. It has Ugandan, Chinese, Indian and Italian dishes. After lunch proceeds to Jinja and heads directly to the Source of the Nile (world’s longest river). Dinner and overnight stay at 2 Friends Guest House (budget), Gately On Nile / Jinja Nile Resort (Up-market)

Activities

Day 1 - Transfer to Jinja

You will be picked from your hotel early in the morning by our tour guide to begin your journey to Eastern Uganda. Day 2 - Whitewater rafting

After breakfast, head out for a full/ half day rafting adventure on the Nile. Get prepared by listening to some briefing, fitting of life jackets and few minutes training. Feel the adrenaline rush as you paddle with your team through grade 5 rapids for over 11 km. If you're doing half day rafting, your trip will end on Malubisi island where you have lunch and drinks but if you're on a full day, it will continue to the last Nile Special wave with a mouth-watering buffet and drinks at the end.

Note: If you’re not interested in rafting, there are plenty of other fun-filled activities you can enjoy while on tour in Jinja and these include Bungee Jumping, River Kayaking, Quad biking, horseback riding, Jet boating among others. Just let us know which activity you want and we will add it to the itinerary.

Day 3:

You will take a short ride to the source of the Nile-a quiet beautiful place, filled with palm trees, fantastic tropical plants and as you walk down the steps toward the Nile you can smell of the flowers there. As you stand on the Nile, you will hear the gurgling water, watch native fishermen throw their nets in the longest river in Africa- You will take a Boat Ride to the actual source of the Nile and beyond the lake where you will take great pictures for future memories. You will explore the source on dug-out canoe and then later visit surrounding craft shops for some souvenirs.

You shall after driving to Jinja town once the industrial capital of Uganda but today a residential town filled with many old Indian styled structures in which many Indians lived during the pre-Amin area, some of whom have returned to reclaim their old properties. However, Jinja is a multicultural town, dominated by native Basoga mixed up with Baganda, Banyankore Bagwere, Basamya as well as other eastern tribes making it a fusion of a true Uganda town good for any visitor to interact with.

Jinja has many shops along the main road and also a place where to buy Ugandan crafts.

Day 4:

Depart Jinja and return to Kampala
