Gorilla Habituation and Chimpanzee Tour

You will be picked up by our professional guide from the airport/guest house and briefed then transfer to the park. On your way, you will make a short stop over at the equator for photography and experience being at two hemispheres at the same time. You will then proceed to the park will enjoying the scenic beauty of Uganda. You will also get a chance to see long horned cattle in Mbarara grazing, banana plantations and arrive at the lodge to relax and freshen up.

You will meet up with your guide after an early morning breakfast and proceed to the park headquarters to join other clients that have come to trek too. You will be briefed about the Dos and Don’ts at the park and then you will start your trek with the ranger.
On your quest to see the gorillas, you will be able to spot different bird species, reptiles, and a few Columbus monkeys jumping from one branch to another. When you come across these fascinating gorillas and spend 4 hours with them enjoying photography and the ranger will teach you about the way of life of these gorillas and you can do research too.
After your trek, you will be awarded a certificate to mark this beautiful milestone.
You will then proceed to the lodge and relax and later in the evening, you will have a cultural visit to the Batwa community, the first inhabitants of the forest, you will be able to enjoy their dances, way of life through your interaction with them.

After an early morning breakfast, you will transfer to Fort portal in south western Uganda which will take about 6 hours, on your way to the park, you will be able to view the scenic views of fort portal, arrive at the lodge and later in the evening have a city tour.

After an early morning breakfast, you will proceed to Kanyanchu the company headquarters for briefing and proceed to the park to start your chimpanzee tracking experience. You will be able to spend an hour with these chimps and later head back to the lodge for lunch and later in the evening head out for the Bigodi wetland walk, it is an initiative started by the community and all proceeds go back to the community. Later you will head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe for your rapid covid test and flight out to end your 5 day gorilla habituation experience and chimpanzee gorilla tour.
