Do you want to see mountain gorillas as well as go on an incredible safari? well, 8 Day Uganda Gorillas | Kenya Safari is the answer. We’ll pick you up in Kigali (Rwanda) and drive you to Lake Mutanda in Uganda, where you’ll meet the endangered gorillas in Bwindi National Park early in the morning. Following this incredible experience, you will continue your tour to Kenya, where you will visit the stunning Masai Mara National Reserve. This tour is ideal for those who want to commune with gorillas while also seeing predators on a game drive.

Day 1
Arrival at Kigali international airport

After your ride, your guide will pick you up from Kigali International Airport. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the pottery, carvings, batik, sewing, sculpture, musical instruments, leather, and fabrics available at Kigali’s craft markets. Get ready to haggle! All activities today are at your own expense. The hotel is where you can spend the night.

Day 2
Transfer to Lake Mutanda in Uganda

Today you travel to Kisoro, which is located in the south-western part of Uganda, close to the Rwandan and Congolese borders. You pass through a beautiful part of the world known as “Africa’s Switzerland.” You will be able to see beautiful countryside, a bamboo forest, and spectacular views of the Virunga Mountains. You’ll stop for lunch at a nearby restaurant along the way.

Please be aware that you will need two Rwanda visas and one Uganda visa OR one East African single tourist visa, which costs USD 100 and allows you to freely travel between Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda.

Day 3
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – Gorilla Trekking

Today is the big day; get ready to meet one of Bwindi’s gentle giants, the endangered Mountain Gorilla. For the majority of visitors to Uganda, this is the absolute highlight of their trip.
For many locals, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a highlight because it is here that they can see the gentle giants’ den. The park sits in southwestern Uganda on the side of the Rift Valley. The mist-covered hillsides are home to Uganda’s oldest and most biologically rich rainforests. The only forest in Africa, Bwindi Forest, has an amazing variety of flora and fauna. After the trek, return to the hotel for rest and an overnight stay.

Day 4
To Nairobi

Your driver/guide will be waiting for you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to pick you up from your flight. Your first night will be spent at Wildebeest Eco Camp, which is situated outside of Nairobi’s bustling city centre. Nairobi National Park, Giraffe Centre, Elephant Orphanage, Karen Blixen Museum, and the Bomas of Kenya are all nearby tourist attractions.

Day 5
Domestic flight to the Masai Mara National reserve

A Paradise Adventure Vacations representative will pick you up and drive you to Wilson Airport, where domestic flights depart. The Masai Mara Game Reserve will be your destination. This scenic flight will last between 45 and 1 hour. A 4wd vehicle from Mara Eden safari camp will meet you and take you on a long game drive in the world-famous Masai Mara game reserve on the Tanzanian border in search of the big five.

It has a high animal concentration all year and is noted for its traditional short savanna plains. During the months of July to October, when two million wildebeest migrate north from Tanzania’s Serengeti, it is home to the Great Migration. The Mara River is home to lions, buffaloes, antelopes, hippopotamuses, and crocodiles.

Day 6
Game drives in the Masai Mara

You’ll have a full day of game drives ahead of you today. You’ll try to find various predators that might have made a kill the night before sunrise. You’ll return to the camp for breakfast as the sun rises over the game reserve. You can either bring a packed lunch or return to the camp for hot lunch after a full day of game drives. The key to seeing a lot of animals is to go on different game drives at different times and in different places.
After this exciting day, return to the camp and unwind with a cold drink on your veranda with a view of the Mara River!

Day 7
Game drives in the Masai Mara

You’ll have a full day of game drives ahead of you today. You’ll try to find various predators that might have made a kill the night before sunrise. You’ll return to the camp for breakfast as the sun rises over the game reserve.

You can either bring a packed lunch or return to the camp for hot lunch after a full day of game drives. The key to seeing a lot of animals is to go on different game drives at different times and in different places.
After an enjoyable day, return to the camp and unwind with a cold drink on your veranda, which overlooks the Mara River.

Day 8
Departure from Masai mara National reserve

After a cup of tea or coffee, you will go for an early morning game drive to see lions, hyenas or other predators eating after a successful hunt. When even your stomach is growling, you come back to the camp for breakfast. Then it’s time to depart from this lovely game reserve and head back to Nairobi. The driver-guide will take you to the airport.
