Day 1: Transfer to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary.

Itinerary
After your early morning breakfast, our driver will pick you up from your hotel and brief you about the one-day Rhino tracking tour. Again on arrival, you'll get a second briefing from the ranger guide about tracking of the Rhinos and sanctuary history. Rhino tracking will immediately start taking a chance to spot them at a very close safe range as you take moments asking questions about Rhinos. Expect to encounter other wildlife animals here. After the tracking, we shall then go back to the ranch restaurants and have lunch with fresh
drinks.

At 2 pm in the afternoon, we start the journey to Busingiro for a 1 ½ hrs Forest Walk. The forest trails at this site are well developed and well maintained for tourist purposes. Mahogany, ironwood, fig trees stranglers and a host of medicinal trees form the bulk of floral species in this seemingly untouched natural forest. Birds, butterflies, reptiles, small mammals and other Micro Organism form the Ecosystem that makes this particular site enviable. A visitor should not miss the proverbial Royal Mile. This is one of the highlights of Busingiro. The Royal Mile is a stretch of one mile with a collection of all the tree species found in Budongo Forest Reserve. King Kabalega, the former king of Bunyoro used to frequent this segment for relaxation with his queen. The segment derives its name from these Royal visits. The segment is magnificent by the National Forestry Authority for historical, aesthetic and recreational reasons.

The loop system leading from the visitor centre offers fascinating forest walks. The guides will interpret the features of the forest which include elephant pit traps, salt licks, elephant wallows and historic grinding stoners. Secrets of the forests will be revealed on these walks. Discover a tree that gets elephants drunk and is amazed at the huge indestructible Ironwood trees dominating the forest canopy.

After crossing the ferry at 9:00 am local time, we begin the game drive and takes between 3 to 4 hours. During the park’s landscape amazing game viewing/game driving, we see different wildlife species; over 76 mammal and 451 bird species including the Buffaloes, Jackson hartebeests, Antelopes, Lions, Kobs, Giraffes, Hyenas, Bushbucks, and Warthogs among others. They are widely spread all over the Savannah grasslands, grazing or hunting for prey. This is the beginning of the 1 Day tour to Murchison Falls NP

At 2.00pm we go for Launch Cruise on Victoria Nile. This is the biggest highlight of any Murchison Falls Safari. Such beautiful wildlife sightings relaxing ride of about 3 hours. We find there a lot of water animals like the hippos and Nile crocodiles. At this point, we sightsee buffalos, elephants, antelopes and a cocktail of birds such as kingfisher, herons, and fish eagles, viewing crocodiles, the many hippos along the bank and in the river, the birds, monkeys, buffaloes, elephants and so much more and of course the bottom of the falls. Birds on the boat include the Goliath Herons, Occasional Shoe Billed Stork, Great White Egret, African Skimmer, Red-throated bee-eater and Pied King Fisher. Stop at a landing rock at a vantage point from which you will take pictures of the Murchison Falls. It is one of the best wildlife experiences in Uganda.

Lastly, we go to the top of the falls that make Murchison Falls National Park so famous. This is a place for most memorable pictures and a taking in of the sounds and sights, including the rainbow that does not disappear - created by the mist of the falls. It is such a great sight as watching predators such as lions make moves on their prey, it’s an amazing experience since most antelopes are hunted down and killed without notice. Incredible picture moments here as we continue the drive seeing the beautiful grassy landscape to the start of the hike to the top of the Murchison Falls. You're treated to the breathtaking sight of the falls at the top.
